The weather conditions at this year's Fayette County cross country meet at Penn State-Fayette were less than desirable. But despite the cold, the rain and the mud, several Connellsville runners were able to beat the elements and many of their opponents on their way to earning All-Fayette County honors. In the girls race, Connellsville sophomore Kensey Durst (23 minutes, 54 seconds) took sixth overall, and sophomore Anna Murphy (24:06) finished 10th.

Having gone in at half-time leading by 0-9 to 0-2 it looked as if a landslide victory was on the cards. But a resurgent Glynn-Barntown gave Monageer a good run for their money, and, in fact, had the Killurin women played with the same level of intensity in the first-half it could have been a very different story.
